SOWGF Ireland Retreat April 2022

SOWGF held its annual Ireland Retreat at the Waterville Golf Links in Waterville, Ireland from April 9 to April 16, 2021. The primary purpose of this retreat was to serve as a training and development program for our mentorship component. Serving as mentors on this retreat were Mark Rosenthal (a real estate investment owner, manager and operator with extensive experience with shopping centers), Tom Gates (a retired FBI agent with extensive experience in law enforcement and management of charitable organizations), and Art Welhoelter (a retired attorney and business owner and operator with extensive experience in law practice and firm management and general business organization). Our warriors were divided into three groups based on their backgrounds and career interests. Included in our participating warriors was a law school graduate and prospective practicing attorney, a law enforcement officer, a prospective charitable organization manager, and two prospective general business owners and operators with an entrepreneurial spirit.
The retreat was very successful and many of the relationships are very active and ongoing.
Our retreat included four days of instruction and golf at Waterville Golf Links, one day at Ballybunion Golf Club, and one day at Doonbeg Golf Club. All are excellent Irish links courses with great history and tradition.
